Sweet Sounds
Here's my solution to the slighlty excessive noise from Phil Water's POC pipe. It's not scientific, and maybe someday a dyno test will be done to see if it has affected horsepower. It feels good, and sounds good. Reminds me of a '50's British sports car.
4.5 inches long, 7/8 diameter, made of stainless steel tubing and tack welded to the outlet of the exhaust.

Foot Rests
A common request is for foot rests. I took the old black crash bars, reversed them (right on the left, left on the right) did some bending, and welded a bolt to the end where it lined up with a hole in the floor boards. Took some tubing with a large radius, cut it to length and fishmouthed to fit the crashbars. Welded, painted, and put some patches of adhesive backed anti-slip stair treads.

Top Box
Someone gave me their unwanted top box. Waste not, want not. I used the fixed Legend rack for mounting the box. To get it into the correct position to use the built-in backrest, I had to saw off the vertical grab handle. I used some aluminum angle to bridge across the tubing of the rack and clamp down the box. Use of nyloc nuts highly recommended.

Easy Whitewalls
Here's an easy way to get whitewalls on any tire.
Paint the rims white and install our, all stainless steel, moon hubcaps.
These hubcaps will NEVER rust. They are made of high nickel content stainless steel.
For about the same price as chrome (that will rust) you can enhance the classic look of your Bajaj without having whitewalls to scrub. |
