SCOOTER ALERT !  EPA & DOT taking action against illegal scooters.

In response to the flood of illegal scooters being imported, the EPA and DOT are getting serious about enforcing emission and safety regulations.

Customs has already seized thousands of illegal scooters and importers are being severely fined.

Read this Enforcement Alert published by the EPA.

As we did with the Bajaj scooters and 3 wheelers, we have expended considerably effort (and expense) to insure that Argo scooters are completely compliant with all EPA, CARB, and DOT regulations.

Many of these illegal, sub-standard and cheap scooters are advertised on the web as EPA & DOT legal when they are not.  Buyer Beware!

We recently purchased one of these "DOT certified and EPA approved" scooters through the internet, watch for our upcoming report on this scooter.

Cannonball

In an 11 day, 3,408 mile, scooter race across the United States, a stock Bajaj Legend scooter performed remarkably well against modified and larger engine scooters.

Now There are Two Bajaj Scooter Forums

A new Bajaj scooter forum has been created: http://retrobajaj.informe.com  a format different from the Yahoo forum. Some say it's easier to find help and information on this forum.

You can also join in on the Yahoo

 Bajaj Scooter Forum

Questions, answers, adventures. These are independently created forums; while we periodically comment, we have no control over content.

Take a look at this web site:  http://scooter.meetup.com , It's an interesting way to meet with other scooter riders in your area.

Are we doing anything to help the environment?

Take a look at these Bajaj exhaust emission figures!   Which would you rather ride behind, a diesel bus or a two stroke scooter?  You might be surprised at the data.
